The Folio identity is now locked: the approved flower device replaces the previous site mark, retains its light field inside the circle in either theme, and sits beside a compact CSS-based theme switch.
In brief
The logo is implemented as a reusable interface asset rather than a different dark-mode variation. Light and dark themes change the reading surface, not the artwork inside its circular border. The former light/dark text link is now an accessible switch with persisted preference.
One mark, one reading identity
The floral mark makes the folio recognisable at the scale of a header without competing with the text or the reconstruction itself. Its internal light background is intentional: the artwork remains legible and consistent whether the reader chooses the light or dark version of the site.
That decision is shared across the Shakespeare workspace, the Enter Text workspace and the Build log. A repeated identity does not alter the project’s evidence claims; readers can still consult the editorial standards and methodology independently of the presentation.
A control that states its state
The theme control is now a CSS-backed switch rather than a pair of competing navigation links. It exposes its pressed state to assistive technology, respects the saved reader preference and leaves the main navigation focused on destinations. The earlier redesign record explains the wider light-and-dark reading approach; this release locks the approved identity and control treatment.
